How does paying work?
Questions about plans
What counts as a real run?
A run in the desktop app that can change files. Dry-runs, scans and reports never count, and nothing run from the command line is counted.
What does the command line cost?
Nothing. npx windowsweep is open source under the MIT licence, has no run limit, and is never counted: it makes no network calls at all. From a copy installed with npm, windowsweep --install-task sets up its weekly Scheduled Task with no account.
Can I cancel?
Any time. Your paid period runs to its end. After that, the account uses Free unless an admin grant, referral reward or Team entitlement still applies.
What does Free keep?
All 30 sections and every safety check, with dry-runs, scans and reports unlimited. Any run’s report exports to Markdown or HTML. When you sign in, run summaries sync to your account and History lists them. Every plan refuses the same protected paths.
