BleachBit and windowsweep
An open-source cleaner for Windows and Linux that previews every file before deletion and can shred files and wipe free space.
01 / WHO IT SUITS
Which one suits you
Choose BleachBit if you want cookies, history and browser traces cleared, secure shredding, Linux support and custom CleanerML rules, with no run count at all.
Choose windowsweep if you want orphaned AppData and leftover Program Files folders found, programs uninstalled from the same tool, and a desktop window that syncs run history to your account.

“Not stated on the pages we checked” is not a no. The page did not say, so the question is still open, and BleachBit's own site is where to ask it.
04 / THE OTHER SIDE
What windowsweep does not do
- windowsweep does not clear tracking cookies today. Cookies, logins, history and Local Storage are left alone in every browser profile, so a tool here that clears them does a job this one does not.
- The Free plan counts real runs: 15 a month on each machine, and 15 more once you sign in with Google. Dry-runs and scans are never counted, and neither is the command line.
- It has no undo. A cache it deletes is gone until the program rebuilds it. Only the sections that offer personal files and leftover folders use the Recycle Bin.
- It runs on Windows 10 (1809 and later) and Windows 11, and on nothing else.
